Alaska Trip Fuel Prices
The following are the fuel prices that we encountered on our 2013 trip to Alaska starting 5/28/13. The prices are the actual pump prices and do not include cash back or discounts.
US prices per US gallon.

The prices in Canada are shown as C (liter)/US Exchange Rate. The exchange rate is about: $1.00C = $0.97US. AFD is a card lock station that will assign a pin to your Visa card on the first usage. Fuel discounts may be available from hotels and campgrounds. 3 cents a liter is a common discount – however that usually means we would pay inside and lose the 5% PenFed credit card cash back. So we skip the 12 cents/gal discount and get 20-25 cents cash back. The choice is a no brainer.

Diesel @ Fred Meyer in Soldotna was $4.54 less a 25 cent discount for Kroger/Visa card holders who had points and a 15 cent discount if you didn't have a lot of points
Freddie's in Juneau, $4.29 for Diesel.
Lesson learned: Buy in nearest and largest town, not in isolated cross roads to get best prices, especially on the Alaskan Highway in Canada.
