Yep, that happens all the time in Colorado. Bears born near towns in, or next to, the mountains tend to have a shorter lifespan than those born in a wilderness area.
The grizzly in our campground was unfortunately born along the most crowded salmon fishing stream in Alaska. He probably raids campgrounds because he can't even get near a Kenai River salmon.
