Hi y'all- we are in a gem of a RV Campground in the middle of British Columbia - Cassiar Highway. “Mountain Shadow RV Resort” is great. It is located near Iskut, BC. We whipped by 2 other possibilities along the way south - drove in and drove out. The road into this park left us in suspense - ½ mile down into the valley between the mountain peaks. We can get somewhat nervous about being led into a tight spot and no way to return. The park is definitely a “10” as far as layout and views. The water pressure is a little low. About 10 pull thrus; 20/30 amp and water; No sewer hook ups. Wifi is free and good connection.
On the way we stopped at a Jade jewelry store and factory. So pretty. Got a couple of sets of earrings and necklaces to wear somewhere some time. I had been eyeing this store in the “Milepost” and was hoping to stop and check it out.
Seen some wildlife along the way - moose, black bear,snowshoe rabbits and a road kill fox. The road was not the best - but not the worst we have encountered along our adventurous journey.
We hear the fish are running in Hyder. Headed to Stewart today. Everyone be careful and keep the wheels Rollin'.
