Lizzie, Glad you made it home safely! Sorry that we did not get to meet but thank you for your contribution to this blog. It was great that we could all help each other.
We have made it to Stewart/Hyder today for 3 nights.
Those of you wanting to know the conditions of the Cassiar..from Alaska hwy to Dease Lake..a little rough but nothing like it was at Beaver Creek to the Alaska border. The worse part for us was right after you go over the Stikine bridge. One lane bridge which was okay but uphill afterwards with them doing a lot of work on the road. It would not have been as bad if it wasn't for the 18 wheelers speeding down the hill past us...UGH... We just pulled over and let them go. If you don't have a big rig it should be no problem. Just take it slow around the corners and watch out for the Semi's. After Iskut (Mt Shadow RV Park) it was a nice drive with no problems. A little bridge work while coming into Stewart but no biggy.
