It gets especially bad as you approach the border. That part is under construction. The 65 miles from the border to Dawson is not too bad,40-45 mph. It's gravel but wider and well maintained.

We left Fairbanks this morning and are in Tok tonight. That's a long day for us, so probably just up to Chicken tomorrow to get some dredge photos and the TOTW Highway on Wednesday. We have no schedule to keep and no advance reservations, so we are just taking it day-by-day.
