Last day in Skagway. I highly recommend the Fjord Express to Juneau tour from Skagway or Haines. It's a high speed cat (30 knots) to cover the 85 nautical miles and the owner is very knowledgeable about these waters. He pointed out sights, animals, sea life and other interesting boats. He did not hesitate to change plans or course when there was a chance to see something interesting. From Juneau he went 8 miles south (Skagway/Haines is north) to see whales on the return trip which is not the planned route. You'll also see a light house for sale but "buyer beware" as he spins the tale! A bus driver takes you into Juneau and then the famed Mendenhall Glacier. She was also very knowledgeable and chatty. Just a great tour and we rate it as very good value.
