We had planned to make this wonderful trip last year and the one before that. In my compulsive research, according to my wife, I went to weather underground and researched Sept weather for every big town on the Alcan in Canada for the past 15 years. I found several cold days and some snow, but never found where the cold or the snow was not followed by temps above 40 in the next 2 or 3 days. Just like the stock market past temps do not reflect future temps, but it appeared to me if it does get cold or snowy, wait a couple of days and it warms up.
