We get out every day with the dogs for a walk, in winter the snowshoes come in handy. Even at -40 we're out walking although the walks are a bit shorter than usual, maybe only 20 minutes long.
On clear sunny days we head out for a drive; the mountain scenery is stunning in winter! We are about 35 miles from Whitehorse.

Haines Hwy makes a nice day out with the car

Sometimes we just take off with no plans

Winters are beautiful in Yukon. Crystal clear fresh air. Bright and some days the sun reflecting off the snow makes it too warm for winter clothes. Our "bucket list" includes driving the Dempster Hwy to Tuktoyaktuk in February or March. Winter tourism is popular, many come to see the northern lights.
