We wouldn't take it. It's pretty darn twisty. I don't even like driving it in a car.....and I lived in Salem for 30 yrs. We always took Hwy 101 south toward Lincoln City and then Hwy 18 to McMinnville. It adds about 20 miles to the route but a MUCH easier drive.....
