Oregon FS 39

I am going to be in Halfway for a week and am toying with the idea of driving FS 39 to Wallowa Lake. I toured the road on my bicycle about 20 years ago. I remember the hwy to be narrow with many blind corners. I'm not sure I towing my trailer down this road is a good idea. Has any towed a trailer on this road? If so, how was it?

    I'm thinking I'm going to take it. I'd like to show my son the scenery through there. Drop the trailer off at Wallowa lake and make the trip to Hat Point.

    I did it 10 years ago in a car - starting from the Joseph end - actually no I took gravel roads to the Hat Point overlook first. So the pavement of 39 was a step up. But the state highway, 86, if not wider, did have the full set of lane markers. It was, and probably still is, just a paved forest service road, more or less 2 lane (not just one lane plus pullouts).
