My bride and I are currently in La Paz. Have been in Baja since February 8th from Tecate to Cabo San Lucas and back to La Paz.
This is our 15th trip to Mexico. We eat at the places where the locals eat, drink purified water or add bleach to holding tank when forced to drink from it. Have never "enjoyed" Montezuma's revenge, for which we are thankful.
We feel if people are judicious about their water intake and source there should be no problems.
As to the residents in Baja, they are perfect hosts, always have a smile and truly are nice people. As far as some of the Americans who have moved to Baja . . . . not so much.
