Overnight RV Parking at Casinos

If ever down in central part of Louisiana stop in at the Tunica-Choctaw Casino in Marksville, La. A little over 200 sites, full hook ups, cable TV, excellent restrooms, shuttle bus service, great buffet, etc. All for about $13.00 if you are Passport America member.

We camped at a Casino in Reno last month. Cost a bit over $40 though. Full hookups with excellent voltage and water pressure! Had the greatest range of ages and RV types we've seen anywhere from beaters to high end MHs. We were the only ones with our BBQ out and only used it once...

We were there when they had a Burning Man event. Totally crazy, totally weird looking people and lot full of totally crazy props to take out to the desert event. Even made about $600 at the casino, woohoo! (Most suck you dry.)

Have driven through a few other casino "campgrounds" and would not have a problem with them. It's not camping but a decent place to park and sleep overnight or for a few days. Some don't have hookups but sure better than staying at a Walmart.

We will including casino campgrounds as an alternative on the next long trip, esp. when some areas may not have many regular CGs or spaces left in them.

Just a note that I wouldn't try this at any of the joints in Atlantic City.. :)

Although the way things are going there, there may be four or five new big parking lots one of these days.

It's been a while since I've been down there, but to my recollection, none of the casinos had anything but multi-level, 8-foot clearance parking garages. Space was always at more of a premium there that it is in Winnemucca... :)

I think the Hollywood Casino on I-95 just at the Maryland/Delaware border has a large open lot, and I've seen RVs there in past. And there's a big outlet mall on the other side of I-95 too.

Thank you for this great site. Spent Sunday night at Jumers in Illinois, pretty much a no frills site but free. Last night was at Royal River in South Dakota, excellent! For $11 we got electrical and WiFi, plus on site water fill and sani dump. Next door was gas at $2.15!

We stayed at the Model T a few years ago. As I recall the breakfast special was good but the lot isn't very big. You might be able to park with the truckers but that won't be quiet. If you want quiet try the Water Canyon Recreation Area. It's really nice, free, primitive camping. The road in is dirt with good access to the first four sites. Check my blog post - Here

Any recommended casino parking in Winnemucca NV? Looking for quiet and decent food.

We are on a 6 to 8 week trip right now trying to thoroughly analyse what FTing will be like for "us" when we start permanently in a year and half (we can see already what we like and don't like on a longer term basis on the road, and one will be a lot less travelling with minimum of 3 night stop offs as it's already getting tiring moving a lot as we were warned it would).

Currently parked in our 3rd Casino, O/N last night. First just south of Coeur D'Alene, and last two in Washington. Night 13 on the road just done, and only paid for night in Waterton NP and two nights in Glacier NP. First Casino blessed to win a $400 screen taking out $160+ and didn't think to ask about the membership promos! Second got two free buffets which were awesome and lost about $30, and this one for two nights, as arrived late night before last and left to explore area during day and came back for second overnight. Check on joining membership cards, as this one hubby and I got $15 & $5 play money put on our cards which entertained us a couple of hours or so.

One thing's for sure if you are a Casino camper and working to a budget you definitely have to be strict on how much fun money you take in with you has been evident. It's been quite the eye opener people watching (our entertainment moreso than playing!), with many putting in several hundred dollar bills at one end of the spectrum losing and to the extreme some others putting in their $5 and playing a 1c line at a time lasting them hours.

For us casinos will be a big part of our travels, but must be controlled on stake for us as at the end of the day the house always wins! Mixed in with pull ins where hubby likes to fish at lakes, NF, BLM and similar. Leaving now for Seattle, closest RV park for a basic site costing us $50 tonight, for what feels like just to park o/n as we are 100% self sufficient, so will use that to flush and fill our tanks again for the next week and half or so as we head up to Birch Bay afterwards and then start south down to Olympic Park and the Washington Coast before hitting Oregon.
