CHEROKEE CASINO OVERNIGHT

Just as a point of possible interest to the OP - there is another casino a couple of miles north of Murphy NC on US 74. MANY parking lots and I believe RV parking as well.

No over night parking or parking period for RV's or trucks in any of their lots.

Smokemont is right up the road for something like 20 bucks a night

The parking deck is now fixed and parking is back to normal.

We spent the night there memorial Day and had a quite night. There were signs saying no parking but I think they were left from when the parking garage was down. There were 4 other campers besides us.However they were no longer running the buses and you have to walk to the casino. Didn't seem to be many people there. There were no one walking or in the parking lot and no one question us about being there. The lot was vacant except for a few buses 6 or 8 cars .

We have stayed overnight there several years ago. Cherokee has some rough folks (local young toughs) that like to harass folks in the parking lots. Different place at night than when the tourists are out. I doubt I will ever stay there again. Young punks around the parking lot raising he**.

Thanks very much for the quick answers I'll plan my trip to stop there on way to Pigeon Forge. I'll try to find the review and see what it says.

There is a review from March 2017 on the above site, and no mention of any parking lot problems.

Sorry guys I didn't think of that. I meant Cherokee N.C. the last time I was there the parking deck was down and parking was a mess. You couldn't even get in the lot.

Cherokee Casino in Oklahoma and Harrahs Cherokee Casino in No Carolina both say it's ok. Not sure if either of these are the one you are referring to, since you didn't give a State, but check the above Casinocamper.com link.
