CG near Cherokee Casino
DH and his friends are planning a long weekend at the Cherokee, Tennessee casino. Suggestions on where to camp with 35' MH with 2 slides? Would need full hookups. This would be in the next 3-6 months. Thanks.

- I am sorry for the bad post about W/E at Somkemont CG. You are right, they are primitive sites. None the less its a nice CG.
- If I remember correctly, Harrah's is building another casino in Andrews, NC. Not every one is happy about it either.

We have at least six now, and some are almost within a stone's through of another nation's casino, because the Cherokee Nation has pushed some locations out to their boundaries. In Tulsa you can choose between Osage Nation and Cherokee Nation casinos with a short drive on the freeway.
Most either have RV parks or have attracted a KOA or something like it nearby.
If you want casino gambling with low overhead (much cheaper to visit than Vegas) come out to Oklahoma. Thirty tribes now running 90+ casinos all around the state, some of them pushing into Kansas, which also allows tribal gaming but has fewer tribal lands.
Michigan has also been getting into the business in a big way, a big tribal casino just outside Battle Creek, in addition to those that have been in the northern resort areas for many years, long before Oklahoma opened up to gaming beyond Bingo. - We liked Happy Valley RV Park. Quiet, closest to casino. Get a back in site next to creek, we were in site 98. Warning (can be muddy if lots of rain! so check weather). Do not approach via US19. Windy 2 lane highway. Use 74/441

Link- Yes, Its North Carolina. Just do a search for Cherokee NC campgrounds. There is Smokemont campground in the national park but it has electric and water only, otherwise stay in town. Don't know the name but I have seen it and its not luxury but nice. Don't miss the Cherokee museum in town either, very interesting.
- Has to be the one in Cherokee NC. And it just so happens there is a CG just down the road. Happy Holiday. A VERY nice camp ground. Maybe 5 min away.
