PA turnpike

Will be traveling from Ohio line to Gettysburg exiting the PA turnpike. Can anyone tell me what mile markers the tunnels are at and the closet rest area before the tunnels.

Thanks

There are no restrictions on propane in the turnpike tunnels unless you are carrying so much that you need placards. And that is way more than any RV is carrying.
It is on the turnpike website under commercial vehicles.

Thank you, I did not know that.

I drove through there last month. I don't remember the mile markers, but I think there were 3 tunnels? Is there something specific you're worried about?

    Propane.

MM 112 Somerset service plaza, MM 122 Allegheny Mtn Tunnel.
MM 172 Sideling hill service plaza, MM 186.2 Tuscarora Mountain Tunnel, mm 197.3 Kittatinny Mountain Tunnel, Blue Mountain Tunnel is about 500 feet after you exit Kittatinny. No rest areas/service plaza's between the last 3.

No worries about your propane going through the tunnels.

That is what I wanted to know for so I can shut propane off.
Why do you say no worry about propane? Please explain.
