Pahrump, NV to Central OR coast?
Looks like north from here would be quite a bit shorter...but no interstate. Cut through Old Station after Reno? Connect up with I-5 at Shasta?

We will be heading from our winter home in Eloy, AZ to our home base in Reno early April with a week stop in Pahrump.
Although boring we take 95N to 50/117 to ALT 50 to the 80W to Reno.
We like the Coos Bay/Charleston area and here's how we get there;
Leave Reno on 395N to CA-44W to 89 to the 5N near Shasta. Then the 5N to 99 (Exit 113 toward Round Praire) to 42W to the 101. From there the 101N will take you up tp Florence and beyond. Gorgeous drive along the Pacific coast most times unless a little bit inland.
We have a couple of Reports in our Trip Journal (in Signature) going up the Oregon coast one in May 2013 starting in Reno to Trinidad, CA then up the Pacific coast from OR into WA then East and another from Reno to the OR coast in May 2015.
All good roads to travel.
