Payson Az. to Newport Ca. best route
I will be in Payson Az. for a couple more weeks, then heading to Newport Ca. for Wedding.. Would it be best to head west on I-40 or head back to Phx. and take I-10 Thanks

Head back to Phoenix and take the I-10 and save yourself about 100 mi. according to Yahoo maps
