Payson Az. to Newport Ca. best route
I will be in Payson Az. for a couple more weeks, then heading to Newport Ca. for Wedding.. Would it be best to head west on I-40 or head back to Phx. and take I-10 Thanks

It's all downhill and it was a good road when I used it. The I-40 from Kingman to Barstow is no prize, I would go the I-10 personally.
