I always gave you more credit than that. Pemex prices have not gone up in over a year, which before was authorised BY Congress. Prices are still fixed but due to the energy reform, will start to be flexible in the next couple years. YOU should know this.
Sorry - I guess I should try harder to clarify. I posted the chart of per barrel prices which more of less started to go down in 2013 and then more in 2014 - they froze the price at the pump at the beginning of 2015. But during 2013 and 2014 the price at the pump was still going up while barrel price had started going down. That was what I tried to say. Prices were going down in US. I know it has been said many times that the price was frozen in 2015. What they should have done was given the people of Mexico a break and started lowering the price at the pump accordingly. I have no idea why they froze the price - it sure was not going up internationally. We paid $1.95 per gallon for our last fuel purchase in TX and crossed the border to pay about $3.20. I just don't think it is fair to the people of Mexico for whoever is in control of this to be doing it to the people. We are very fortunate that we can afford the $3.20 but I can't begin to imagine how the Mexican people can afford it.
