I guess you haven't been to an AutoZone lately. They have hundreds of stores in Mexico and prices are very similar to U.S. They opened one in our little town of 3000 and the small auto parts stores haven't been affected either.
I earn pesos, live in pesos and really don't see anything wrong. Produce prices fluctuate with the seasons so if avocado is too high we just don't eat it until the season changes or the rains go away.
Exploitation is the law of the land. People don't retire to Mexico just for the weather. Oops, was that related to exploitation? Depends on how you look at it.
You know MexicoWanderer, you can always return to the U.S. or Canada and I'm sure you could live there much cheaper and have less to complain about :)
