Like my post above, I don't see how to reconnect with i95 any further east in CT.
Thanks!
You don't need to take I-287 around the corner. Here's the route I've taken several times, weekends and weekdays. Sundays are best
I-95 to Woodbridge, Garden State Parkway to I-287, across the Tappan Zee, stay on I-287 which reconnects to I-95 in Port Chester CT.
This would be the way to go.
I guess the question is where do you want to go in Ct...?
I like the above route if it is in southern CT..but if it is farther into Ct like to go to RI...then the above route but stay on 287 after the Tap and go up 684 to 84 then across 84 to your destination ..where evre it is ..then Rt9 to 95 to RI...Chuck
Our stop in CT is Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison. Then on to RI.
then use the above directions...287 to 684 to 84 east to 691 to 91 north to rt 9 south to 95 south for 16 miles...now by doing it this way,you backtrack the 16 miles on 95 south, but the traffic you miss is well worth it....and don't worry about the traffic in Waterbury construction..it slows down some, but in 10 minutes ,you are past it all..Chuck
