trigley, I think you meant Waterton...that is the route we always took to go up to Rocky Mountain House and then west to dry camp in the mountains, except through Kananaskis, which is beautiful. Did the Kananaskis route for a day drive one time from Longview and ran into a cattle herd being herded by a few "cowboys". They didn't see us until we were down the road a bit and then parted the herd for us to get by. It was something you would not see here in the flatlands. As I have said in previous posts, we would come through Sweetgrass/Coutts, grab 501 over to #2, up to Cardston and take #5 west to #6, stay at the Waterton Springs Campground for a couple of weeks and then continue on from there.
