Place to pull off and sleep in the Spokane, WA area

We'll be traveling from Montana to Portland, OR and I hope to make the trip in 2 days. We plan on making it to the Spokane area for the first night. I'll be driving a truck towing a 28' TT. I'm looking for any advice for a pull off for a night's rest. No hookups or power necessary, ideally parking in the evening and getting back on the road the following morning. A Walmart parking lot is an option, but ideally we would prefer something more out of town. Really I'm not picky though, I just want to have a goal in mind for the first day. It will be me, my wife, and 2 young children (3 yrs old).

Thanks.

Better yet....CABELAS Post Falls Idaho..right before you get into Spokane, north side of Hwy. RV parking and dump station avail.

X2 ... and a new Walmart is right next door, with a view and lawn areas too.

  • If you are traveling I-90 there is a great rest area just inside the Idaho border. East bound I believe it even contains a campground. You can practically see Spokane from there so it isn't far. When going east it is a mandatory dog walk after we clear Spokane traffic. Going west we sit there if we miss timed rush hours.
  • X2 for a good truck stop because they'll be right off the Interstate.
