Portland to Midwest in Early May

We will be picking up our Entegra in early May from Portland and driving to back to the Midwest. Does anyone know what we can expect in terms of weather and road conditions heading over the mountain passes on I-84 and I-90? What is the "normal" weather? Also, any suggestions on RV parks close to the interstate that you would recommend for an overnight stay that are clean and well-kept?

    For road conditions you can also check 511 (dialing from out-of-area cellphones will still get you to the state you are in); Idaho and Wyoming have this feature, and I believe other western states do as well. Idaho 511 has a website - probably the others do too.

    CGs along I-84/86 in OR & ID we have stayed at & liked at least reasonably well:
    Mt. View Holiday Trav'l Park in Baker City OR (older CG but facilities are clean, convenient to the interstate but w/o road noise)
    Village of Trees RV Resort in Declo (near Burley), Idaho - quite nice, some facilities are newer, good-sized sites; sign in at restaurant attached to gas station just off the interstate
    Massacre Rocks SP, near American Falls, ID - sites w/ elec & water, can be windy; clean facilities typical of state parks

    CGs along I-90 farther east:
    Hardin (MT) KOA - off the road just enough to avoid lots of road noise, friendly CG, clean, nice folks running it, good spot for touring Little Bighorn National Battlefield

    Billings (MT) KOA - the flagship, some sites with patios etc., bigger trees - nice & clean, but pricey

    Belvidere (SD) KOA - pretty nice, clean, some concrete pads, others gravel
