Anyone who thinks Mexico is cheap obviously does not know anything about Mexico. The fuel prices are almost right up there with the US and many roads have very high priced tolls. Many RV parks now charge as much as US parks. Electricity is much higher than in the US. Booze costs more than in the US. Many other things cost more. We pay more for internet and phone. We do not visit Mexico because it is cheap and we do not go for the warm beaches. We visit beautiful cities and meet wonderful people and eat great food - we also visit ancient ruins. There is also some explainable sort of camaraderie among those who RV all over Mexico. There are amazing places to see that those who have never been would never know about. There is a perception in the US of what Mexico is that is nothing at all like what Mexico is really like. Been to a resort town? Not much like the Mexico we know. Read the papers or watch the TV news? Nothing like the Mexico we know. If you don't know Mexico then how can you possibly have any kind of valid opinion. Amazing how many people can have so much to say about things they know so little about. If you look at a map you may find that Mexico is the next door neighbor to the US - and though not on a map they are our biggest trade partners. Why do so many in the US feel a need to put down their friends and neighbors? Psychologists would say only those who have a low opinion of themselves find ways to put others down - to make them feel better about themselves. This kind of nonsense goes on on this forum all the time and many of the same people keep posting things that have no basis in fact.
I lived in Southern California all my life until recently. I have been to Mexico many times. You and I both know how far American dollars will go in Mexican grocery stores and general services.
Justify on...that's what I expect on this thread.
