Puerto Penasco and fuel protests?

Heading to Rocky Point, The Reef, in 15 days. Obviously won't need to make a fuel stop while in Mexico, but wondering from those in town: Is there any problem from the fuel protest? Is propane still available?

    No pasa nada, it is quiet here and business as usual. The RVers are coming in at a pretty steady stream.

    Now that the President of Mexico has stated on the tely that everything is OK and that the price of the fuel is going up and that is it!, and he feels the pain of the public, it is for the good of the families!

    All is quiet on the Southern front!

    Mexicans have accepted the fact that life is going up, went to buy some cat food at Chedraui and the American cat food cans no where to be seen the Mexican packets 1.50 pesos fifty cents more than day before yesterday and all the store personnel were busy changing all the prices, asked the guys if all the prices in the store were going up and all said yes they are going up from 0.50 cents to about 2.00 pesos, life in Mexico always interesting.

    Thanks for the offer. My ferrel cats eat anything and everything I give them. Yes in fact I did have them fixed after adopting them just to answer before the questions start.

    Most stores hide the American cat food cans for a couple of days and then bring them back at a higerr price, Walmart, Cherdraui, Comercial do that when the Dollar goes up or down about 0.50 cents of a dollar, nno big huppla, Mexican car food is made by Purina in Mexico, you can find dog and cat food from the USA just a little more in price.

    Do you really believe that these international companies have time to go through inventory to take a few products off the shelf to try and beat the exchange rate?

    Most of Walmart is imported product anyway. They would have their shelves empty.

    We are now experiencing some shortages. The stations tell us that trucks are coming but are being blocked a the distribution points. It is not a crisis but may prove to be inconvenient for locals. Vacationers have no problem here if they fill up in Lukeville as it is only 60 miles each way to the border.
