Puerto Penasco and fuel protests?

Heading to Rocky Point, The Reef, in 15 days. Obviously won't need to make a fuel stop while in Mexico, but wondering from those in town: Is there any problem from the fuel protest? Is propane still available?
Thanks, and save me some shrimp.
  • Now you get to feel how it was for us in 1974 - with shortages, long line and price gouging.

We are now experiencing some shortages. The stations tell us that trucks are coming but are being blocked a the distribution points. It is not a crisis but may prove to be inconvenient for locals. Vacationers have no problem here if they fill up in Lukeville as it is only 60 miles each way to the border.

With every person heading north and heading south to and from Rockypoint along with people from Sonoyta filling up there at Lukeville, how long do you think that lone gas station will have gas? I would not plan on it having enough.
  • It will all pass and all will be back to normal soon, if not....then none of it matters to you or me. We will do what we do!
  • Rumor from a couple of days ago was that there was only one station in Puerto Penasco that had gas?
  • I hear that as of today )Tuesday) that everything will start to normalize. The trucks were filling the stations yesterday, it looks like it will be good just more expensive.
