What amazes me about these threads is that the posters about high gas prices FORGET that the UNITED STATES has the free enterprise system. Within limits a businessman is allowed to charge whatever he wishes for the product.
The consumer is free to shop elsewhere. This will tend to drive down prices.
SO if a lot of people in the Quartzite area stopped shopping at the higher price places and went the 10-15 miles down the road then prices would fall. BUT the convenience factor and inertia stop people from do so. Therefore prices stay high.
