IF it were me......
I'd take off the 10 year permit, and get your new permit on-line (it's very fast).
Since you have a new passport, it should just come to you with no problem.
Second choice, do it at the border and put it in the name of the person who didn't have the last permit in theirs, assuming you have more than one name on the title.
