Quickest route between Branson and Nashville?

We're looking to drive Branson to Nashville. Quickest, easiest for MH/toad. We can go through Memphis if on-route. The map shows various back roads. We're not interested in beauty etc--just the fastest and easiest. Thanks.

  • All hills and nasty curves, and slow driving on 160. Through Springfield on 65 connects to 60 without getting into town at all. US60 is all 4-lane, moves well, and pretty much straight (horizonally). 65-mph on 60, but a number of slowdowns for little towns.

Branson to Springfield, 60 to Popular Bluff, Pb to Kennett, MO via 53(good two lane), kennett to 1-40 at Jackson, 1-40 into Nashville. All 4-lane except between PB and Kennett. Shortest, quickest both. Avoid Memphis due to traffic and road construction. If you start early, it could be done in one LONG day, but I wouldn't.

Highway 160 out of branson to W. Plains then up to Willow Springs must have what? hills/curves,etc. It looks shorter than going thru Springfield?

After you are on I-40 East I would stop for the night at exit 143 and go North to Hurricane Mills to Loretta Lynn's place and RV Park for the night.

    Very cool!!!!!
