There's a $10 parking charge in the lot across the street from it, and the inside is NOT what you think it is, unless you're heavily into souvenir shops. My recommendation is to avoid it. - prichardsonExplorerThe Lane Auto Motor Museum has a very nice collection of early to modern cars.

There is free parking at the football stadium across the river from downtown and a pedestrian bridge that puts you one block south of Broadway.
We did enjoy the self-guided tour of the Ryman. Wasn't a "cheap" option, but I thought it was worth it.
If you like music, take a walk down Broadway, music of all genres, all day and all night. - teejaywhyExplorerNashville is a fun place to visit. We stayed at Seven Points Recreation Area (COE I think), about 20 miles from downtown.
