RCMP- quality fiction

As an often traveler to Canada (trip #10 coming soon), and a repeat visitor to the RCMP training facility, I'm looking for "good" RCMP fiction -
suggestions sought.

As to my idea of quality, I read the The Kate Shugak Series by Dana Stabenow (set in Alaska), and, with the exception of #20, very good reading, to include the new one No Less a Treason.
  • In the 60's I was a Canadian Navy Diver and at that time we did all underwater work for the RCMP.
Body recovery, underwater weapons searches etc.

    No fiction
    Just facts.
  • The first thing that came to my mind was the Dudley Do-right segments from the old Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends shows. It meets at least two of the three basic criteria:

    RCMP -- check.
Fiction -- check, with no possible argument.
Quality -- Hmmm....there is some clever writing, although the animation is pretty crude in its execution.

Somehow I don't think that's quite what you had in mind, though.
  • If interested in a movie, try Death Hunt with Lee Marvin and Charles Bronson.
