If you're thinking of stopping at Hershey mainly for HersheyPark, you might want to consider instead going to Knoebels in Elysburg, PA. Both are nice parks; Knoebels is more traditional and affordable and tends to have less waiting in line. Knoebels also has a campground literally right next to the park which allows one to walk to and from one's RV.

Watkin's Glen state park and Letchworth state park, both in New York, are wonderful places to see.
