Ready cash
a couple questions for those that have done this before: How much ready cash is recommended? How much Canadian cash is recommended? Or do we rely on debit/credit cards with minimal cash on hand?

We typically keep several hundred dollars in cash whether USA or Canada travelling. Enough to pay for a tank of gas and some groceries "just in case". Split it down and hide it in weird unexpectable places throughout the rig.
Got us out of problems when systems down/not working and not always in low density places either.
