Ready, set, go!

We're on our way back up to the US and are currently in Guatemala and hopefully heading into Mexico (Chiapas) tomorrow, Saturday 5/17. We're thinking of staying in Mexico for 4-5 weeks before crossing into Arizona or Texas.

Today is exactly 4 months ago since we left Texas and crossed into Mexico on our Central American adventure!

We made it to Panama!


We are currently staying in the perfect (cool) mountain climate in Boquete. On our way to Panama City in a few days, and then return to the US by following a different route.

Yes. South of Mexico dump sites are few and far between. We use facilities where we stay to limit our grey and black water.
Last time we dumped was in Guatemala City about two weeks ago.

I asked on your blog-site, but I'll ask again here for the benefit of everybody, has it been difficult to find disposal for your grey and black water tanks?

Yes hotel Vision Azul in Panajachel allows RV camping right at the edge of the lake.

We left El Salvador today and are currently in Honduras. Blog update coming soon.

We're in Belize now. The dog was ok. The problem was a bribe attempt by the immigration officer!

Good luck with the dog. Last time we tried it, we had all the paperwork done in advance from the states. At the border we were told the inspection station was a few miles inland, and if they didn't like the looks of dogs, they would just impound them. We skipped Belize and went all the way around. Keep us posted!

Update: we spent the past couple of weeks exploring the Yucatan and are now at Yax-Ha in Chetumal. Hopefully looking to cross the border into Belize in a few days; we're waiting on the import permit for our dog.
