It REALLY HELPS to fact check and verify...
People make errors but with important things the errors can cost a lot of hassle and misunderstanding. I hope the following cut and paste clarifies this issue at least with one Surplus Line Broker and the Mexican underwriter they represent. I POSITIVELY have NO connection to this entity other than email.
Lewis and Lewis Qualitas Mexican Tourist Auto Insurance policies DO NOT require the insured vehicle to also be insured in the USA and/or Canada. We do ask if the vehicle has other insurance and we do state it on the policy but this is for informational purposes only.
Lewis and Lewis Qualitas Mexican Tourist Auto Insurance policies provide coverage in the Mexico.
We have just received approval for every Lewis and Lewis Qualitas Mexican Tourist Auto Insurance policy to automatically include $500,000 CSL for the same prices on our website (the attachment is proof). Because this was just approved today we still need to update our website which currently states $300,000 CSL. We hope to receive from Qualitas additional coverages automatically included by the end of this day.
The $500,000 CSL is important and unfortunately COSTCO, Vagabundos del Mar, Oscar Padilla and many others do not even make the $500,000 CSL available.
Lewis and Lewis Qualitas Mexican Tourist Auto Insurance policies also offer our Clients $1,000,000 CSL.
I am not a member of this forum and comments are only considered legitimate by non-insurance people.
