Comprehensive is usually required by the bank if you have a loan.
I don't know which insurance I used before, but I do recall something about a requirement to keep your current insurance active.

Agree, was only talking about Liability Insurance as required Insurance. You are only required Liability in Mexico as well. Myself, I have too much to lose not to have Comp.
