I do not suggest censorship, what has happened in the past blogs when an article has appeared in the news that is more geared to scandalous tabloids rather than real facts, it immediately generates a stream of negative comments that do not have any helpful use for travelling South.
If there is a real safety issue we will of course mention it, normally RVERS in general tend to stay in well known tourist areas that the bad elements generally do not bother with, what I am saying is that those persons with little information and those that do not like Mexicans or South Americans and use this area to show us their bigotry, is what this blog does not need, right at this moment it is not wise to travel from Mexico City to Acapulco by the toll road or the libre.
It is the same as if we where to discus the safety of traveling to San Diego, Washington D.C., Chicago, Calgary, etc. etc. If you can't be aware of your surroundings, trouble will find you, before you find it.
It happens all the time that something is reported in the news and commented in this blog and the trolls come out of the wood works with the negative comments and bigotry.
You do not read derogatory comments about cities in Canada or the U.S.A. when there is a shooting at a movie theater or a school in these blogs, do you?
As for safety issues yes we will report them for the benefit of all.
I do not like to hear negative comments about my country, the United States of America, and yes we have our flaws like every other country in the planet.
Please accept my apologies if I miss interpreted your comment, there have been to many chirping in with nasty comments without any base or knowledge of the country.
