I am sorry that I hammered you so hard, my wife is of German decent and was born in Mexico, we speak to her brother or her nice on a weekly basis, and get real updates on what is going on, yes it is troublesome, about the same as San Diego.
There has been one dead person per night by gun shoot and at least four persons beaten to death in the current year in the County of San Diego.
Is the County and the City of San Diego safe, yes most of these crimes take place late at night, most are narco gang related, most tourists are asleep in the various RV parks and not in the bad part of town where the gangs claim turf.
This section has had a number of posts that were assaulted by persons with little or no knowledge of the situations in Mexico, and gave us their narrow minded one sided bigoted view.
