- dave54NomadNo problem. Fredonyer Pass west of Susanville is low, easy grade. Basically flat and straight after that to Morgan Summit east of Mineral. Curves and a moderate grade over Morgan. Always a chance of cattle on the road, so keep alert.
Curvy section west of Mineral. The only stretch of road that will give you any effort, and is a short and minor effort. After those curves it is straight downhill all the way to Red Bluff.
No fuel in Mineral. Chester is full service town. - MarkTwainExplorer

Leaving Reno/Sparks area headed for Red Bluff, is 395 up to Susanville then 36 over to Red Bluff ok in a 45 ft. & towing? Thanks for any assistance! Jim
An alternative route is I-80 to hwy. 20 to hwy. 70 to hwy. 99 to Red Bluff. - The_TexanExplorerThat is my preferred route with our coach and toad ...
- korbeExplorerYes. If I was going from Reno to Red Bluff I would take 395 to 36. There will be a couple of times when you have to slow down for some curvey sections, but there will be no problems.
