Since you bring it up, I just want to register my bitter disappointment that Canada gave up its claim to territories below the 54th parallel so readily way back in eighteen-and-twelve.
Had you folks held out a little bit longer, my present home town of Hadlock, Washington would be in Canada. And not only would there be those purty Mounties paradin' around, I'd have had Citizen Supported Health Care for lo these many long years!
