road from Palenque to San Cristobal de Las Casas

We last were on that road 2 years ago. There were several places where kids had a rope across the road to stop traffic but it wasn't a problem. The road itself is not one to make any good time on - it's rough with some road damage and just a little repair work.
I'd do it again if other options were not available. There aren't a lot of choices in that area.
