Roads from Bridgeport to Timberville VA

Flatlander from MN looking to head to Timberville VA this coming weekend. I have time to get there, so I am planning a route that does not include a lot of interstates. I am wondering about The road from Brideport to Timberville, 50 to 48 and then south on 259. I will be pulling a 37ft 5th wheel.

Wondering if this road is suitable for pulling a fifth wheeler. I have only been in this part of the country one other time and on that trip we end up on 33 that comes into Harrisonburg. It was narrow road with lots of steep sharp turns.

Any info would be helpful

Thanks
  • 259 is fairly straight and level. You will have no problems there. 48 is a lot like an interstate, that is, it's a 4 lane divided highway. Some sections are limited access. It's a fairly new road that was only built in the last couple years. It's probably not even really finished yet.
    I don't know about 50.
