Bussskipper, I saw a semi truck coming down that stretch of Independence Pass, right into the waiting arms of law enforcement! The sign says the ticket is over a thousand dollars.
This guy has long flowing white hair and is in his 60's. I've seen him on McClure Pass (8755' and 8%) before, but going over Independence Pass means climbing to 12095' on only a 6% grade. We've seen this same guy riding down moguls on a powder day at Aspen Highlands. Way crazy.
