rocky mountain national park trail ridge road

Is rocky mountain national park trail ridge road passable with a 5th wheel trailer

  • Yes, we did it last summer with a 30' TT. It is beautiful!
  • Just don't get on the Old Fall River Road... the one way dirt road to the alpine visitor center.
  • I've taken several of my trailers over the road, including my current 34 footer (about a dozen times). The grades are moderate but not steep (mostly about 6% with so0me 7% stretches and there are only a FEW tight turns (about 25 MPH speed limit and a couple of tighter ones but even the tight turns are plenty wide so no need to use more than your lane. There are regular bus service vehicles making the trip over the pass (probably a hundred or so a day) and these are some super large busses and they have no problems with it either.

  • nice drive, I did it with MH and trailer total 75' lots of steep grades.
