I appreciate your concern.. an I know if I was in So. Califk, I would not think about crossing at TJ.
I believe going to Rocky Point is much safer. The past 3 years friends
have gone in their RV's it's 60 miles the roads are great and they
have felt very safe. Also, some spent a few months there and did get
local news.. seems no trouble on the road or with tourists.
The govt is working very hard to make Rocky Point a Winter Bird destination.
I do think I will have at least 2 other rigs going with me. So I think
going to Rocky Point and staying at one of the large RV Resorts (which
my friends have stayed at several times) will be fine. Not staying out
after dark, use common sense, local tourist places etc.
So I'm gonna give it a try. Lived in So Cal L.A. area years ago.
From what my friends say about Rocky Point... they'd rather be there
than in some of the L.A. areas and would feel safer.
Anyway.. thanks eveyone .. appreciate the feedback. It's alwas varried
and gives me lots of things to think about.
