- rocmocExplorerYou can and there is a new (couple of years old) toll road. Texan gave a road report a couple of years ago on here.
rocmoc n AZ/Mexico - John___AngelaExplorerHey Rocmoc. If I recall the crossing is kinda small. How would a Class a fit through there towing a car.
And next question. What is the least tricky crossing coming back from the point of manoeuvrability. Going that way for a month this year. - rocmocExplorer

rocmoc n AZ/Mexico - John___AngelaExplorerAlgadones. Although I've walked across at the other one years ago I can't remember it at all.

I have never crossed there but I believe the Texan did. Here is a link to his report of driving the new toll road from Rocky Point to Yuma. Hope it helps both you and the OP. https://forums.trailerlife.com/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/23563245.cfm more https://forums.trailerlife.com/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/23550121.cfm another https://forums.trailerlife.com/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/23661922/gotomsg/23662353.cfm#23662353

The only time I crossed at Yuma, I blew it. The bus lane had a sawhorse and an official pickup truck parked sideways in front of it, blocking it off, so I used the automobile lane. Scraped the bottoms of the basement doors on both sides.

In retrospect, I'm sure I should have bellied up to the bus lane and waited for them to move the obstructions out of the way.
I have never taken that crossing northbound, so I can't help there. - GeneBExplorerMy wife and I crossed at San Luis south of Yuma last November the Sunday following Thanksgiving. Very busy due to the holiday traffic but that was to be expected. We were towing a 26' pull behind travel trailer with a Dodge RAM 2500 extended cab. No problems with room to get through. The road was excellent from Rocky Point to San Luis. There was an inspection point north of El Golfo. Bypass all the big trucks lined up to go through. Nice, polite young Mexican army recruit did the inspection. No problems. There is a short section that is a toll road a few miles south of San Luis. Can't remember the fare but thought it reasonable at the time. Be sure to check with U.S. Customs and Border patrol to make sure you have no prohibited items. They carefully checked our trailer including the refrigerator and freezer and all the storage lockers in the trailer.

Will you get down our way? - John___AngelaExplorerHard to say. This winter will be a funny winter. We have to squeeze at least a week in San Francisco, a month in Mexico, a week in San Diego, 4 or 5 days in Quartzite and a couple weeks in Zion and Bryce in the spring before our 6 month Visa time runs out in the US (although the Mexican time doesn't count towards it). I think you are out Phoenix way so It's never to far off the path. :). It funny Every year we say "next year we'll just spend a relaxing year on our lot in Palm Springs". So far that's never happened. :). We always end up traipsing over Mexico or the south west. Last year we made it across Canada and down to Manhatten. Way fun. :).
- rmevExplorerMy DW and I traveled the new toll road from PP to San Luis last Feb. The road is good and no problem with any size Rig. The new port in San Luis is good and lane for RV without any tight maneuvering. Problem when we cam back, was the road in San Luis leading to the lanes at the port was being worked on and we had problems getting across the work to get into the lanes. We continued on and ended up on the toll road to Mexicali. At the toll gate we were told we could continue a couple of miles and turn around an get back to the port in San Luis.
Now the rest of the story. At the turn around point the sign pointed to Algadones and knowing there was a port there continued to Algadones. Those that have walked across the port there know that it is very tight. We were able to get a 39 foot MH with Dinghy without unhooking. I would not recommend it or want to do it again but it is able to be done. My advise is to use San Luis. The road leading to the port there should be done my this time.
