Thanks for your answer. I had envisioned real border hassles with two vehicles. My real issue is that my Sweet Jane is VERY concerned about violence in Mexico. I'm looking for a safe and simple experience so I can say, "see there, nothing to worry about. No one stole the truck or the toad and we had a great time".
So it doesn't matter precisely where we go as long as it accomplishes the goal I have set out. Its a crying shame to avoid a country as interesting and varied as Mexico. So thanks again for any information on Project Sweet Jane :-)
