The Coq is a long way UP then a long way down. We like the drive and will usually choose it over the Fraser Canyon. The truck's engine works and works on the uphill though and it isn't uncommon to see overheated vehicles on the way up. The transmission seemed to take most of the load on the long descent but do be sure your brakes are in good condition.
Hope-Princteon has more variety and is also a nice drive. We go through at our own pace and pull over to let those in more of hurry go on by because passing opportunities are limited.
