Route from new Orleans to Beaumont tx
Has anyone used rt.90 from new Orleans to Baumont TX rather than go over the bridge at Baton Rouge? How is the road for s 30' tt?

Get on 190 wherever you want to, go through Opelousas, and on through Kinder. If needed you can overnight at Coushatta Casino just north of Kinder on 165. Stay on 190 westbound and it becomes 12 through Mauriceville Tx and on to I-10 into Beaumont.
If you use I-10 through Lake Charles be aware the road has a very bad spot at Sulphur. It feels like it will launch your rig. Hwy 190 has mostly 55mph through LA. If you have out of state plates they will enforce that. Hwy 12 in TX will have some sections of 75mph. Some of that has construction zones.
